Mr. Donát Dékány graduated in 2010 as electrical engineer at MSc level at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) – Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics.
During 2009-2016 He was acting as a director of the Student Innovation Centre of the Faculty to promote the startup culture for students.
In 2010 – 2012 He was part of the team that initiated and organized Technology Transfer Office of the University and started to build the innovation ecosystem around the institution. He played role in commercializing R+D results and start spin-off companies.
Between 2013-2014 He was acting as a project leader at VIKING Zrt (university spin-off company)
From 2013 He has been the sacretary of the Smart Energy department of the Scientific Association for Infocommunications in Hungary.
During 2013-2015 Adviser at Ayudate Investment Group responsible for technology validitaion.
From 2015 to 2018 as the managing director of evopro Bus Llc, his mission was to create more sustainable solutions urban mobility. The company develops new generation environmental friendly urban buses from composite material, with different powertrains. During this period the very first full-electric bus fleet of Hungary was launched in Budapest with 20 buses.
In 2015-2016 He had been also active in non-governmental organizations to promote and help to introduce electric mobility. As a member of an expert group of the ministry he was developing new concepts for the roll out of the national e-mobility charging infrastructure and ecosystem.
From 2016 He has been the deputy director of BME Federated Innovation and Knowledge Centre that manages numerous national and international cooperations of R+D projects.
