We believe the time has come for us in 2022!

After the Corona virus pandemic and the past two challenging years, we believe it is time for us to move forward and conduct the Hungarian Summit. The summit, which focuses on building and strengthening Hungarian – American relationships on business, cultural, and public relation levels, is organized by HungarianHub, a non-profit organization in Daytona Beach, Florida, and will be held in May 2022.

This international event, which will be opened by Szabolcs Takacs, Hungarian Ambassador from Washington, D.C., offers many unique opportunities to the participants to be able to network and build crucial Hungarian – American connections.

Among the four major segments, such as business, education, culture, and public relations, this year’s fifth topic is sport. Each segment will have Hungarian and American professional speakers and participants.

This event’s specific focus is on the Hungarian Communities who live in the Diaspora. It aims to strengthen educational relationships between the two countries and; with the help of the Central Florida University’s Business Incubator Program, it assists the Hungarian start-up businesses to learn about the American business

The key element of this event’s success is the personal presence. The first two days of the programs include presentations, round table discussions, and section symposiums. The final day is filled with concerts, movie premiers, fine arts exhibitions, audience meets, and business expo for all event participants. structure.

All this will take place in MOAS – Museum of Arts and Science, Daytona Beach. The Hungarian Summit conference and workshop offers exceptional and interesting opportunities for both American and Hungarian participants. We will SUMMIT for everyone.

udit Regős is known for her complex family- and child supporting system called Parents' House. Based on community building, training and consultancy, inclusive family centers and nurseries are operated within her Parents' House Network in Hungary. Dorottya Mártonffy-Nagy

In this capacity, she worked closely with the international business community facilitating FDI investments to Hungary and helped advance government priorities in the field of investment promotion. She was also responsible for negotiating Bilateral Investment Treaties with third-countries outside of the European Union (EU) and for forming government positions related to the common trade policy within the EU, representing Hungary and serving as a Titulaire of Hungary at the Trade Policy Committee (TPC). Before this, she worked for the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency (HIPA) as Head of the Business Services Department. Prior to that, she served in multiple areas of the public sector, including as an Economic and Trade Counselor at the Embassy of Hungary in Washington D.C. between 2014-19. Dr. Zoltán Dubéczi

Dr Zoltán Dubéczi has been working as the Secretary General of the HRC since 2006. As the operative head of the representative body of Hungarian Universities, he is involved in the strategic and legislation processes regarding higher education reforms in Hungary. In addition to his position at HRC, he’s been responsible for educational developments at the Central Bank of Hungary (MNB) as Chief Adviser to the Governor, managing higher education programmes together with universities in economics and social sciences. Dr. Dubéczi also has comprehensive experience in international activities related to higher education, as former chairman of the Secretary Generals’ Committee at the European University Association (EUA). He occupied a number of leadership positions, dealing with national and international higher education development projects, including Full Member position of the Administrative Board of the International Association of Universities (IAU). As a result of his constant presence in all major national and international higher education platforms, he gained a broad understanding and expertise of the sector, with extensive insight on international trends and economic perspectives.

Rajmund Fekete

He also edits the popular Látószög blog. Rajmund completed his PhD studies summa cum laude at Péter Pázmány Catholic University's School of History, writing his doctoral thesis on John F. Kennedy’s political image. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in History and a Master’s degree in History of International Relations, both from the University of Debrecen. Twice awarded the Hungarian State Scholarship, he was a member of the István Hatvani Collegium from 2009 to 2012. As a former fellow at the Center for European Policy Analysis’ (CEPA) James S. Denton Transatlantic Fellowship Program (2018), Rajmund participated in the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy’s Europe Program (2009). He was a scholar at the Institute for American Studies at the National University of Public Service (2021) and at the Lajos Batthyány Foundation (2021). He received the Young Investigator Award from the Board of Directors of the Association of Hungarian American Academicians (2022). In 2010 he was appointed as a press officer at the Ministry of Public Administration and Justice, and in 2012 became head of department. Rajmund worked as a chief of press at the House of Terror Museum between 2013 and 2015. He was also a political advisor at the Prime Minister’s Office (2015). From 2015 to 2018 he was a head of department, then chief of staff at the Secretary of State for International Communication (2015-22). Rajmund worked as a communication director, and then a communication advisor for the “One With Nature” World of Hunting and Nature Exhibition. He was a director of communication at the Sandor Palace between 2022 and 2023.

Dr. Rajmund Fekete is currently director of the Institute for the Research of Communism and an external fellow at the Institute for American Studies at the National University of Public Service, Budapest.

He has been on the faculty of the School of English and American Studies, ELTE, Budapest since 1987. He also taught at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) (1991), the International European Studies (IES) in Vienna (2000-2011 and 2017-), and Corvinus University of Budapest (1999-2009). He was a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade (2000-2011), and was its Director (2010-2011). He was the editor-in-chief of Külügyi Szemle and Foreign Policy Review (2000-2010). he was Ambassador to Ireland from 2011-2015. He was the Head of the North American Department in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (2015-2016). Currently he is a Professor at the American Studies Department at Eötvös Loránd University, and a Senior Research Fellow at the American Studies Research Center at the University of Public Service. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the Hungarian Conservative and the Hungarian Review. He has published extensively on various aspects of the history and foreign affairs of the United States and the United Kingdom, as well as on questions related to the Atlantic community. He is the former president of the West Campus of Miami Dade College and previously served as provost and chief academic officer at Northern Virginia Community College. Prior to that, at Palm Beach State College, he was professor of Microbiology and Anatomy and Physiology, chair of Biology, associate dean of STEM and dean of Academic Affairs. President Ramsammy is a first-generation college student who recognizes the extraordinary potential of education to change both individual lives and communities. Prior to a post-doctoral fellowship at Georgetown University's Lombardi Cancer Center, he earned a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and a master's degree in Genetics from Howard University. He holds a bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of the District of Columbia.

President Ramsammy has more than 30 years of higher education experience, including senior academic and administrative positions at three of the largest multi-campus colleges in the United States.

Dr. Bence Ságvári

He received his Ph.D at ELTE University in 2011. From 2011, he is the Hungarian national coordinator for the European Social Survey (ESS). In 2014/15, he was visiting professor at Indiana University, Bloomington (USA). He has been represented as the Hungarian partner in several cross-national comparative survey projects, such as EU Kids Online (EUKO), and World Internet Project (WIP). Currently he is principal investigator of the CODE Europe project and SUSTAIN-2 (H2020). His work includes research on digital trace data, survey methodology, social network analysis, social values and attitudes. His publication list includes over 50 articles and book chapters in journals such as Nature Communications, Plos ONE, Sensors, JOURNAL OF LANGUAGE AND POLITICS, COGNITIVE LINGUISTICS, EUROPEAN PLANNING STUDIES.

He works as an architect at Bachman & Bachmann Architects in Pécs. In 1997 and 1999 he worked as an Architect at Pálffy & Associates in Tokyo, Japan. He has been the designer or co-designer of numerous completed buildings.
