Hungarian culture has always been underrated. From its beautiful people to its interesting food, anyone who has visited Hungary has been fascinated by it and locals who are already in other parts of the world always longed for the place they call home.
It is why we created the Hungarian Summit, the first Hungarian American conference that aims to introduce Hungarian culture to Americans and allow Hungarians to get a taste of home despite being in the United States. This summit also aims to foster relationships between Hungarian and American communities.
All cultural programs are free, but we accept donations, which partially go to Ukrainian refugees in Transcarpathia and the ELCFV.
Donation tickets perks

THE CHAMBER OPERA
ZOMBOLA - VIZIN - GERGYE: "...AND ECHO"
„...and Echo” is a contemporary opera performance that portrays the main character, a woman’s inner stories with a unique bond of two other essential art forms, puppetry and contemporary dance performance. The creative team (Zombola - Vizin - Gergye) uses symbolism through the form of poetry. As the frame of their libretto they built two important poets’ works into the story (Hungarian Sandor Weores and Roman Ovidius) that developed a particularly unique and rich poetic language throughout the whole opera.

TOXIKOMA USA PREMIERE
Toxikoma is based on the memoirs of Győző Szabó in which the two lead characters, a drug addict alpha male and Dr Imre Csernus, a psychiatrist playing God, flex their muscles, challenge each other and finally become friends. The story outlines the most difficult years of a young man moving from the countryside to Budapest, for years falling further and further in the world of drugs. Upon his arrival in Budapest, Győző worked as a waiter, a graphic artist, a toy maker and also ventured into the swirling world of actors. He eventually ends up in a wild, seemingly eternal heroin spiral, with everything falling apart around him: family, work, future - but finally he decides on the tapering-off cure. It is during this cure that he meets the psychiatrist Dr Csernus. The film is about the fight between the egos of two dominant males who need to realise that they can only progress together.

Áder Orsolya
I have always been intrigued by art. It has been important to me since my childhood, and has helped me to find my place in the world. Creating a work of art, the passionate shaping of something new, is a source of unparalleled joy. Every one of my works is part of my personality, telling a story which may be loud or quiet – it does not matter which. I have never been a wordsmith; my
works speak for me, expressing the thoughts and feelings which I cannot put into words. I first experienced the excitement of creation at the age of twelve, when I met the jewellery designer Rita Szőllősi. She taught me how to realize my ideas. As I acquired the basics of the jeweller’s craft, I learned to dare to create something new. For me it has always been very important
to create something that did not exist before. A few years later Rita took me to a Christmasexhibition at the Museum of Applied Arts, where I managed to sell several pieces of my jewellery. As a child that was a special experience for me.
Not long after that my family moved to Brussels, where I continued my high school studies. The change of surroundings enriched me with new experiences. I received so many impressions all at once that I had to release them somehow, and this is how I started painting. By the age of fifteen
I was already interested in abstract painting more than any other style. I am intrigued by this mode of expression. I feel that non-figurative images are more mysterious, yet at the same time more honest. When I look at abstract paintings, they affect me much more strongly than work in any other
style. I feel they speak to me in the most sincere manner, and I like the fact that they also tell their story with concealment. A few years later I continued my studies at Richmond, the American International University in
London, majoring in Fashion Business, Marketing and Management, as well as in Art, Design and Media. My art classes aroused in me a keen interest in surrealism, a style in which I produced more and more graphics. It was interesting to experience how I can express my thoughts and feelings in
this artistic mode. During my undergraduate studies my classmates and teachers showed a keen interest in my drawings, so I decided to print my surreal graphics on T-shirts. Each graphic design depicts a different personality, a different atmosphere; and even if young people cannot buy the
original work, they can at least express their personality through T-shirts.
My interest in abstract and surrealist art has remained with me ever since that time, even though these two artistic styles differ from each other – one being non-figurative and the other figurative.I enjoy drawing – when I can only represent my thoughts with a graphite pencil – just as much as
painting, which brings my feelings to life through colour and technique. I have always been interested in the science of the “divine proportion”, as well as the spatial play of the three dimensions. Both my drawings and paintings reflect this philosophy. Interestingly, for some years I have only worn black; I do not feel good wearing any other colour. Yet when I paint, colours inspire me and activate my imagination. For each of my paintings, my first step is to find the harmony of colours to express my current emotions and thoughts. When I sit with my paints and canvases, I feel I am exactly where I need to be, doing what I have always wanted to do.

PAINTER
Creating art has been a part of my life since I first held a pencil in my hand, and I love sharing my colorful world with others.
As an oil painter, I find inspiration in fragments of nature and the man-made world. I love to see things from a different perspective, which perspective is also a part of our reality. My main goal is to open the eyes of the viewer by expressing my feelings and thoughts through focusing on simple everyday things. This way I would like to help others to realize how beautiful and colorful our life is. I would like to build bridges between the fantastic world around us and the people who appreciate the tiny, but precious and timeless moments.
My work is representational - sometimes with a little twist of photorealistic, impressionistic or abstract elements. I tend to paint series in regard to the exploration of a particular theme or image. My oil paintings can be recognized from strong, intense colors and meticulously elaborated subjects. My biggest passion is water, especially rain, and I’m working on a series using this element.
I live in Central-Florida, in a quiet suburban area near to the Wekiva State Park, so I enjoy the rain every day from May until October. This really influences my work, such as my European origin.
I was born and raised in Budapest, Hungary – surrounded by rich culture, amazing architecture and treasures of nature, so my memories and experiences constantly inspire me.
I had 35 gallery exhibitions and I won 26 awards to date.
I have paintings in private collections in the US, UK, France, Belgium and Hungary.
I am an associate member of the National Oil and Acrylic Painters' Society (NOAPS), the Marion Cultural Alliance (MCA Ocala) and the Winter Garden Art Association.
