The Business Section of the Hungarian Summit 2025 once again proved that Hungarian–American economic relations are not only alive but dynamically evolving. With its outstanding professional standards, international speaker lineup, and strategically relevant topics, this year’s program provided a genuine platform for establishing and strengthening business collaborations.

Led by Strategy and Expertise

The section was expertly guided by Dorottya Mártonffy-Nagy, international trade expert and former Deputy State Secretary for Investment Promotion at the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Her strategic insights and international experience ensured a high-quality program. The event was opened by Neil Pickett, Commercial Counselor at the U.S. Embassy in Budapest, and Edit Dukai, Head of the USA Accelerator office.

The first panel discussion, titled “Tariffs, Trade, and Transformation,” explored new challenges in the global economy and how shifts in U.S. economic policy may impact Europe—especially Hungary. Former U.S. Congressman Dennis A. Ross, Neil Pickett, Gábor Kutasi, and Gábor Csizmazia engaged in a thought-provoking conversation about the economic ripple effects of global change.

Trajectories and Market Opportunities

The second panel, “Trajectory Calculation,” focused on sector- and region-specific business opportunities within the U.S. ecosystem. Speakers included Janet Karika, former Chief of Staff at NASA, László Szabó, former Hungarian Ambassador to the U.S., Gary Cohen, and Attila Danku. Once again, the panel was moderated by Dorottya Mártonffy-Nagy, bringing depth and clarity to the conversation.

Keynote Talks – Hungarian Innovation and Florida’s Entrepreneurial Advantage

Two standout plenary sessions enriched the agenda:

  • Tamás Kolossváry presented the innovation strategy of Széchenyi István University during the Mission Innovation segment.

  • Carol Ann Dykes-Logue, Director of the University of Central Florida’s Business Incubation Program, explored the topic “Florida – The Ideal Place for Takeoff?” highlighting the state’s business-friendly environment.

Success Stories – From Entry to Elevation

The “Success Stories – From Entry to Elevation” panel brought transatlantic business closer through personal journeys. Hungarian entrepreneurs Zoltán Papp, Olga Augusztin, Ádám Tóth, and Tamás Pusztai shared their insights and challenges of entering the U.S. market. The panel was moderated by Piros Pazaurek, founder of HungarianHub, in an authentic and inspiring tone.

Startups, Innovation, and Artificial Intelligence

The closing panel, “Startups and Innovation,” addressed cutting-edge trends including AI in healthcare, international startup expansion, and the future of venture capital. Petya Balogh, Dr. István Peták, and Tamás Weiszbart inspired the audience with visionary insights and practical examples. The panel was once again moderated by Dorottya Mártonffy-Nagy.
