Hungarian Summit 2025 once again proved that when it comes to education, there are no boundaries that can’t be crossed. This year’s Education Section served as a true engine of international academic cooperation—fostering meaningful dialogue and launching forward-looking initiatives between Hungarian, American, and Canadian institutions.

A Section That Builds the Future

The program was led by Dr. Judit Trunkos, Assistant Professor of Political Science at Robert Morris University, whose dedication, organizational skills, and strategic insight played a vital role in making the event both impactful and result-driven.

15 Universities, One Shared Vision

One of the section’s most outstanding features was bringing together 15 higher education institutions10 from Hungary, 4 from the U.S., and 1 from Canada—to explore long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships in education, research, and knowledge sharing.

Representing North America were institutions such as Robert Morris University, East Tennessee State University, the University of New Brunswick, the University of Central Florida, and Stetson University—all committed to opening new doors for collaboration with Hungarian universities.

Mobility, Research, Innovation

The panels and meetings focused on three key themes:

  • Launching joint research initiatives;

  • Expanding student and faculty exchange programs;

  • Developing innovative academic and international education projects.

Participants didn’t just discuss possibilities—they outlined specific proposals and collaborative pathways that can shape future projects. It became clear: higher education is a powerful driver of transatlantic relationships.

Grateful for Our Key Partners

Special thanks go to the section’s main sponsor, the Corvinus University of Budapest, and strategic partner, the Széchenyi István University, whose support made this high-level program possible. Their presence ensured that the Hungarian side came to the table prepared, open, and ready for action.

Education That Connects

This year’s Education Section was far more than a conference—it was a living, working bridge between Hungarian and international higher education. A platform where new ideas, collaborations, and opportunities were born. Because education doesn’t just shape the future—it builds communities, nations, and partnerships, too.
